Break out your holocaust capes and your six-fingered gloves! The cast of the classic movie “The Princess Bride” will reunite for a special table-read of the script with a Q&A afterward on Sunday, September 13th at 7 p.m. ET, all to raise money for the Wisconsin Democratic Party, CNN reports.
Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Carol Kane, Chris Sarandon, Mandy Patinkin, Wallace Shawn, Billy Crystal and director Rob Reiner will all participate in the event, bringing together most of the stars of the 1987 movie, which author William Goldman adapted from his 1973 novel.
Patton Oswald will host the Q&A session. The online event is available to anyone making a donation to the Wisconsin Democratic Party, but the suggested minimum is $27 according to the donation page.
“Anything you donate will be used to ensure that Trump loses Wisconsin, and thereby the White House,” the page notes
There’s no word if Texas republican Senator Rafael “Ted” Cruz, a self-proclaimed fan of the movie, will join. Cast members and director Rob Reiner have often called Cruz out for improperly misappropriating quotes from the movie.
