Nike, the Oregon-based company whose iconic swoosh adorns sports gear around the world, hit an all-time stock high today as online sales and its annual sales rose, with online sales rising 82%, according to Reuters.
The athletic apparel manufacturer was the target of a conservative boycott three years ago for supporting NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s call for social justice by taking a knee during the playing of the National Anthem before football games.
Now, Nike’s stock hit a record high while the NFL has made a commitment to address social injustices and racial disparities through pre-game activities and financial donations.
