“White House just told governors Pfizer is going to be able to deliver 50 million more doses this quarter than originally promised, per people on call. The feds are also working to ensure/speed distribution of second doses, per sources, essentially transferring these doses to first-dose allocations if they’re not administered within about 40 days. The Pfizer increase will count the sixth dose originally not factored in, so that’s responsible for some of the windfall” reports the Washington Post’s Isaac Stanley-Becker.
