Pro-Commie Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam, whose tenure saw an effective total dissolution of freedoms for citizens of the territory and then an endless hamster wheel of failed COVID-19 lockdown measures, including a literal culling of hamsters at pet stores, announced Monday she won’t be seeking a second five-year term in the post, the Associated Press reports.
“I will complete my five year term as chief executive on the 30th of June this year, and I will also call an end to my 42 years of public service,” Lam said at a press conference. Lam’s second-in-fake-command, John Lee, is expected to launch a bid for the rigged election process to succeed Lam.
