With just weeks left on his sentence in a halfway house, infamous Capitol rioter Jacob “QAnon Shaman” Chansley on Thursday filed a motion to vacate his conviction on the grounds that his original lawyer Albert Watkins, the guy who once called his client and fellow MAGA marauders “fucking retarded” and “short-bus people” in an interview, did not review the video footage of Chansley being followed around the Capitol by cops during the insurrection, Politico reports.
It’s not clear why the Shaman and his new attorney, MAGA lawyer William Shipley, think this is going to work. The asshole still carried a spear into the Capitol on that day and could’ve gotten a decade or more in prison had he not pleaded guilty back in September 2021.
