The mob of roughly 100 raccoons has been dispersed from the lawn of a Kitsap, Washington woman, the Kitsap Sun reports citing a Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife release.
“The situation, which stemmed from the homeowner’s admitted practice of feeding raccoons in her backyard for decades, came to a head over the past six weeks when an increasing number of the critters began to arrive in her yard and act aggressively until they were fed. The woman, fearing for her ability to leave her home, called 911 and law enforcement arrived to find dozens of raccoons in a yard, with one deputy estimating there may have been as many as 100,” the Sun writes in their story.
