Sources tell the Wall Street Journal that convicted felon President Trump and his minions are, somewhat surprisingly, actually cognizant that the Obamacare subsidies they stupidly killed off in the Big Beautiful Piece of Shit they rammed through in July are a real political liability even while they lie their way through this shutdown that Dems started specifically to force their restoration.
“It has the potential to be a significant issue,” Republican strategist Whit Ayres told the Journal, adding “whether it becomes one or not depends upon the course of the election,” whatever the hell that means. He almost makes it sound like the party has no agency in this, that they’re subject to the whims of Neptune and the forces that swirl in his abyssal dominion or something like that. Or that the MAGA GOP are just pussies who cannot knowingly make themselves look feckless and weak by giving Dems exactly what they want, even when it is very much in Republicans’ interest to do so.
Forget about regular people’s best interests. Republicans don’t give a shit about that woke garbage.
