Jesus Dork Speaker of the House Mike Johnson continued on Sunday morning having some difficulty getting his stories straight about how the Democrats are demanding that illegal aliens get free healthcare and it just kept going down and down to the most particulate, arcane argument that, secretly on some Dem proposal that’s linked on Johnson’s website, there was something something he claims “Buried on page 57, Section 2141, the Democrat CR bill repeals the Working Families Tax Cut bill’s new safeguards against waste, fraud, and abuse in health care spending to restore and continue $200 billion in American taxpayer funded health care subsidies going to illegal aliens.” The whole thing’s really hard to follow and just stinks of a retcon trying to reconcile convicted felon President Trump’s version of the story with “reality” as it is in the actual legislation.
Not the easiest messaging sell. Also note how his website calls it “the Working Families Tax Cut bill” while he definitely said “Big Beautiful Bill” to Kristen Welker. More from this ongoing shitshow below:
