A federal appeals court panel approved an emergency request from the Biden Administration to keep current migrant policies in place, staying a lower court ruling that would have voided the regulation in days, the Washington Post reports, giving Biden a temporary win in the border crisis.
In a 2-1 vote, the three-judge panel from the Ninth Circuit ruled that the restrictions on migrants including restrictions on the ability of those who came across the border illegally multiple times to apply for asylum–pushing asylum seekers to apply through means like online or at authorized ports–may continue.
