Conspiracy theorist, anti-vaxxer and future NFL Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers told reporters he chose to return to his job as a quarterback with the New York Jets instead of becoming Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s running mate, according to the Washington Post.
“I love Bobby,” Rodgers said during a team off-season training event at the team facility in New Jersey. “We had a couple of really nice conversations, but there were really two options: it was retire and be his VP, or keep playing, and I want to keep playing.”
Rodgers reportedly was on a “short list” that included former professional wrestler/Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura; former Democratic Congresswoman from Hawaii and perpetual Fox network auditioner Tulsi Gabbard; and annoying motivational speaker Tony Robbins. Kennedy eventually chose tech lawyer Nicole Shanahan.
