The first class action lawsuit for customers against Live Nation alleging the company illegally profited from inflated prices in venues it managed has been filed following the Justice Department antitrust claim against the company, Reuters reports.
The case seeks $5 billion in damages for customers who bought tickets for sports, entertainment and arts events through Ticketmaster, a subsidiary of Live Nation, which also runs venues and manages tours across the country. The case has been assigned to Biden-appointed Judge Arun Subramanian in the Southern District of New York.
