French Fourth Reich party leader Marine Le Pen faces an automatic five year ban from running for elected office if she’s convicted in her trial starting Monday over charges she ran a patronage system for aides top her far right nationalist cabal’s members in both the French and European Parliaments, Politico EU reports. She could also be sentenced to 10 years in prison and be fined €1 million, but the bigger problem is being barred from the ballot in an election she’s already said she’s going to run in… again, after losing to current incumbent Emmanuel Macron in 2022.
