Even though they turned down the first shot at covering the story, Fox “News” took up the banner of the Hunter Biden laptop story, mentioning it 40% more times this year than they did Wikipedia and the stolen emails in 2016, according to the New York Times.
The unverified story, first reported by the New York Post and unconfirmed by other new sources, claims that a laptop supposedly owned by Hunter Biden, the son of Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden, contained incriminating emails concerning his father and compromising photos of himself.
Three weeks before the election, Fox “News” made a point of highlighting the lightly-sourced story on its network, particularly its prime time talk shows. Fox “News” mentioned “Hunter” 273 times in one day in mid-October. CNN mentioned it for 20 seconds; MSNBC said it 24 times.
Compared to the Wikileaks scandal during the Clinton campaign, when the Fox “News” peaked coverage at 198 times in one day. That means Fox “News” is covering the thin Biden laptop story about 40% more than Wikileaks.
Apparently, Fox “News” feels that this will end up being the story that will bring that down, regardless of how feeble the evidence is.
