Deputy White House Counsel to the President Scott Gast notified Trump’s personal tax attorney of the delay last week.
All elected federal government officials, as well as some who are appointed such as SCOTUS justices and Cabinet officials, are required to release financial disclosure forms annually to ensure they are not acting out of conflicts of interest or for personal enrichment.
