The 44 countries on the continent of Europe surpassed 300,000 coronavirus fatalities Tuesday, according to Reuters.
More than 730 million people live in Europe, compared to 33o million in the United States. The per capita fatality rate in Europe is 40.4 per 100,000 population, versus 74.1 per 100,000 population in the United States.
The confirmed case rate in Europe is 1,707 per 100,000 population versus 3,143 per 100,00 in Europe.
