Spanish Crown Princess Leonor, the 20 year-old heir to the country’s ceremonial throne and future commander-in-chief of its armed forces, completed her combat paratrooper training at the Mendez Parada Military Parachuting School at the Alcantarilla Air Base in the Murcia region this week, DPA International reports citing an announcement from the royal palace in Madrid. Leonor is currently in her third and final year of officer school at the nearby General Academy of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AGA), toiling day in and day out alongside about 50 other cadets to prepare for a career of service defending the nation against threats from terrorist warlords and vicious tyrants.
In unrelated news, Ivanka Trump this week told some podcaster that she and her husband, real-estate heir Jared Kushner, are building a massive $1.5 billion off-the-grid private island off the Albanian shoreline, bulldozing a former military site considered sensitive to local bird populations.
“It’s massive in scale,” said Ivanka, whose husband’s previous project in the Balkans, a luxury development in Serbia’s capital of Belgrade, fell apart due to angry opposition from neighbors.
