After a weekend of unfavorable coverage about federal agents in Portland, increasing coronavirus cases, and a ridiculous interview with Fox “News,” Donald Trump now trails presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden by his widest margin on the PredictIt Market site.
Shares for Joe Biden’s likelihood of winning the presidency rose to 62¢, it’s all-time high, while Trump shares fell to 38¢, making the gap between the two candidates 24¢, the largest gap seen in this presidential campaign.
In state-by-state races, PredictIt has Biden winning states amounting to 334 Electoral College votes.
While it’s not a scientific poll, PredictIt is a measure of voter enthusiasm at any given point in the race. Bettors buy shares of candidates or sides in other various pools, for which the winner will be paid one dollar for holding a winning share. It’s a research project of the Victoria College of Wellington in New Zealand.
