Rashida Tlaib received thousands in rent during pandemic, despite enthusiasm for rent cancelation | Just The News https://t.co/EiHlBJ4KgK

Wow! That’s something sort of resembling hypocrisy right? Isn’t it? A landed woman received rent from her tenants during an economic crisis at the same time that, in her capacity as an elected federal legislator, she also advocated for rent cancelation and eviction moratoriums, two positions, one personal and one political, that are theoretically in conflict with each other.
Theoretically, as from all available evidence, it appears Tlaib’s tenants are not in arrears on their rent payments as she reported those payments on a disclosure form. But it’s still kind of hypocritical-ish, as if Tlaib is saying “Okay, I don’t care if this ends up fucking me out of tens of thousand of dollars personally, renters in the United States should be given a break due to economic circumstances beyond their control.” That’s a form of rhetorical inconsistency right?
