European Union leaders on Monday reached an agreement banning 90% of Russian oil imports, a move seen as unthinkable just months ago before the Putin regime invaded Ukraine, the AP reports. Russia was predictably butthurt, with Vienna-based diplomat Mikhail Ulyanov claiming “Russia will find other importers.” The European ban follows the lead of US President Joe Biden, who in March ordered a halt to American imports of Russian fuel. The Russian energy sector is just one part of a multi-pronged economic plan to crush Russia and sap its attack on Ukraine.
