Dozens of combatants and civilians are dead after days of fighting between the Sudanese military and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces group in the capital city of Khartoum, the AP reports.
Apparently, something is happening in Neocon/Tea Party/MAGAt Twitter with some women from the MAGA universe complaining about sexual harassment and misogynic slurs from the Trump cultists and other right-wing establishments if they’re not loving Mr. Trump 100% with all their souls and they dare to disagree with Dear Leader. (Editorial note: Duh. Who coulda seen that comin’?)
One of the players in this drama is former Trump lawyer and Eau de Giuliani whiffer Jenna Ellis, a sanctioned lawyer who released a statement that demonstrates she truly has no idea who she worked for or what evil they are truly capable of:
Sexual harassment, threats of violence, and comparisons to sex workers are never okay legally or ethically. This isn’t about being offended by a meme, it’s about not violating the law and basic standards of decency while engaging in political discourse. My question is whether the Trump family wants these vile people associated with them or condones sexual harassment? Women who previously represented Trump and are now pro-DeSantis, like Erin Perrine, should be able to do their jobs and have their political opinions without malicious threats of violence online.
My question is whether the Trump family wants these vile people associated with them or condones sexual harassment? The Trump family, whose patriarch has been indicted for paying a porn star–whom he now refers to as “horseface”–through a company he put his sons in charge of. The Trump family, whose patriarch fantasized about his older daughter from the time she was a teenager, out loud, on television. The Trump family, whose patriarch once told a 10-year-old girl on an escalator that he was “going to date her in ten years.” Whose soon-to-be newest member’s best qualification for her position was that she was fired from her last job for sexual harassment? The Trump family, whose patriarch attended parties with Jeffrey Epstein? You’re looking to them for moral guidance on sexual harassment? Good luck with that.
What is it about New York Republicans and bad business? Beleaguered Long Island Congressman Anthony Devolder George Santos reportedly lost money during the first quarter despite spending no money and raising more than $5,000, Politico reports.
According to campaign filings, Santos’s campaign had to refund more than $8,000 in donations to Republicans who actually have spines and rejected their previous support of the now-disgraced non-volleyball player, non-degree holder, non-financial advisor; others may have finally been fed up after the Brazilian government indicted the friend of Marjorie Taylor Greene for forging checks.
Fox attorney Blake Rohrbacher told the judge overseeing the Dominion Voting Systems defamation suit that his team apologized for omitting information that should have been turned over to the plaintiff’s lawyers, saying the group “never intended to omit information,” CNN reports.
“We understand the Court’s concerns, apologize, and are committed to clear and full communication with the Court moving forward,” Rohrbacher wrote in a letter to judge, adding “we should have provided to the Court a complete and prompt response to the Court’s questions concerning the identities of all of Fox News’ officers. We apologize and never intended to avoid responding to a question from the Court.”
A top GOP donor who was a major contributor to Republican Florida Governor and human bop bag Ron DeSantis said he will not contribute any additional money to him because of his extremist social policies, the Financial Times reports.
Thomas Peterffy donated more than $7.5 million to GOP candidates during the 2022 election cycle, but has “put myself on hold” with any further donations earmarked for DeSantis. When asked why, he responded, “Because of his stance on abortion and book banning . . . myself, and a bunch of friends, are holding our powder dry,” adding, “the Republicans have a very big problem” because they’re relying on extremist social positions to attract voters in the primary.
Peterffy, a resident of West Palm Beach, had donated more than $200,000 to DeSantis’s campaign for governor in 2018. Until recently, he was the richest man in Florida with a net worth of $26 billion, acquired largely from founding Interactive Brokers, a financial platform. He lost the title when another obscene rich person moved to Florida.

What’s worse: demeaning Bill Barr because he’s overweight or making a campaign ad about Ron DeSantis eating pudding with his fingers? These are the important issues being debated by GOP surrogates Neil Cavuto and Karl Rove because these are the kitchen table issues impacting American families. Sheesh.
Maybe multiple ongoing legal issues have finally taught him to follow the law and file truthful information, but Donald Trump reported making less than $200 from his super-successful Truth Social bubble over the past 15 months, ABC News reports.
The information came from financial disclosure forms filed to the FEC for his 2024 presidential campaign. Trump reports making more than $5 million each from various ventures, including his golf club properties and the sale of the Old Post Office building that once housed the defunct Trump International DC hotel. Trump’s report includes more information on real estate transactions than those of a certain Supreme Court justice.
“Dammit! What about us?!?!?!” conservatives are complaining as a pair of Latinas have taken over 18 mainly Spanish-language radio stations in Texas and the Southwest, claiming the very fact that the two women’s acquisitions signal a major conspiracy involving Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and George Soros, of course.
NBC News reports the Latino Media Network started operations at three highly-coveted Spanish-language radio stations in the Rio Grande Valley, a key area that had traditionally been a Democratic outpost in deep Red Texas but which had swung right in the last election cycles. Stephanie Valencia and Jess Morales Rocketto say their acquisitions have more to do with supporting Latino culture and music rather than politics despite the pair’s connection to key Democrats. Conservatives don’t believe them, given that Valencia worked for Obama, Morales Rocketto worked for Hillary Clinton, and their deal to purchase the radio stations was funded by a firm with connections to George Soros.

On Saturday the NRCC quickly deleted this page offering this stupid koozie after remembering that Anheuser-Busch gave them $464,505 last year, the Daily Beast reports.
Trump lawyer Evan Corcoran has informed a federal judge he’s recusing himself from the case relating to Trump’s refusal to return stolen classified documents but will continue representing the twice-impeached former president in other criminal cases, the Washington Post reports.
Corcoran himself is under investigation in the case for composing a letter filed with the Court asserting that there were no other documents sought by the National Archives at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s geriatric supper club and reception venue. Instead of signing the letter himself, another Trump attorney, Christina Bobb, signed the declaration. Bobb appeared before the Washington, DC grand jury investigating the Trump documents case, directed by Special Counsel Jack Smith, earlier this year, as did Corcoran. As potential co-conspirators in the criminal case, neither Corcoran nor Bobb can claim attorney-client privilege. Beside the testimony Corcoran gave as early as January of this year, the Washington Post reports Corcoran testified in March as well.
Corcoran will continue to represent Trump in other of the myriad legal troubles facing the already-indicted defendant, including the federal probe into the January 6th Republican-led domestic terrorist attack on the Capitol Trump is accused of instigating.
A North Carolina murder suspect who was mistakenly released from jail where he was being held without bond turned himself back in to authorities after learning about the error, WSOC ABC-9 in Charlotte reports. Despite being held without bail, Jaylan Davis was mysteriously processed out of the Mecklenburg County Detention Center on Thursday night after receiving a court order stating that the charges had been dismissed; in fact, they were not. Davis faces murder and other felony firearms counts related to the murder of a 42-year-old man last November.
“I am grateful that it appears that no one was harmed as a result of this mishap, though I am sure it was an emotional rollercoaster for the families involved. Our criminal justice system will never be flawless, but we will learn from this experience and improve our processes accordingly,” Mecklenburg County Sheriff Garry McFadden said in a statement posted to Twitter without thanking the 25-year-old Davis for voluntarily returning to incarceration without incident.
Justice Department: “A California man was sentenced yesterday in federal court in Springfield, Mass for making threats to commit anti-LGBTQ violence against Springfield-based dictionary company Merriam-Webster, Inc and others. Jeremy David Hanson, 34, of Rossmoor, Calif, was sentenced by US District Court Judge Mark G Mastroianni to one year and one day in prison and three years of supervised release. In September 2022, Hanson pleaded guilty to one count of interstate communication of threatening communications to commit violence against the employees of Merriam-Webster, and to another count charging the same offense, initially filed in the Eastern District of Texas, targeting the President of the University of North Texas.”
“Between Oct 2 and Oct 8, 2021, Springfield-based Merriam-Webster, Inc. received various threatening messages and comments demonstrating bias against specific gender identities submitted through its website’s ‘Contact Us’ page and in the comments section on its webpages that corresponded to the word entries for ‘Girl’ and ‘Woman.’ Authorities later identified the user as Hanson. Specifically, on Oct 2, 2021, Hanson used the handle ‘@anonYmous’ to post the following comment on the dictionary’s website definition of ‘female.’ ‘It is absolutely sickening that Merriam-Webster now tells blatant lies and promotes anti-science propaganda. There is no such thing as ‘gender identity.’ The imbecile who wrote this entry should be hunted down and shot.’ That same day, Hanson also sent threatening messages via the website’s ‘Contact Us’ page. On Oct 8, 2021, Hanson posted another threatening comment on the dictionary’s website and a threatening message via the ‘Contact Us’ page that read: ‘I am going to shoot up and bomb your offices for lying and creating fake definitions in order to pander to the tranny mafia. Boys aren’t girls, and girls aren’t boys. The only good Marxist is a dead Marxist. I will assassinate your top editor. You sickening, vile tranny freaks.’ As a result of the threats, Merriam-Webster temporarily closed its offices in Springfield, Mass. and New York City.”
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida was evacuated safely after some asshole hurled a bomb at him on the stage during a campaign event in the city of Wakayama on Saturday, the AP reports. The explosive didn’t detonate and the unidentified suspect was quickly arrested at the scene, but it’s worth asking how the bastard even got close enough to throw such a device at the current prime minister just nine months after his predecessor was blasted from behind with a homemade shotgun.
Colorado teenage dad-to-be Tyler Boebert skipped his Monday court date over the September 2022 car accident which left a friend injured, Westword reports on more white trash drama.
The junior Boebert’s appearance would’ve been the end of the legal road if he had simply shown up and let the judge rule on whether he’d have to attend the state’s “Alive at 25” remedial driver awareness program. Worse yet, his dipshit mom, Lauren, didn’t know Tyler had skipped court.
“Really, like what the fuck?” crash victim Noble D’Amato told Westword said when asked for comment. “What else are you doing? Like, go to your court date. I would try to be like, ‘Oh, shit, I should be on my best behavior.’ Not even best behavior – I’d just try and be responsible.”
- Tennessee doesn’t need to teach Critical Race Theory. They’re living it.
- Republicans are pro-business so long as those businesses fall in line with their culture war. If not, they’ll blow them away with an assault rifle, because THAT is the conservative way of dealing with dissension.
- Tennessee Republicans demand the power to approve the representatives selected by the state’s Black communities. Because nothing says equality like needing the white leaders’ approval for your opposition candidate.
- Re: your thoughts and prayers. You’re supposed to pray for an answer, not a miracle. The answer is common sense gun regulation, not more prayers. God has given you the answer; you’re ignoring Him.
President Joe Biden received support for a judicial nominee for a seat on the conservative 5th Circuit Court of Appeals from an unusual faction: both Republican Senators for Texas have sent their endorsements for Irma Carrillo Ramirez, the Texas Tribune reports.
During the previous administration, Democratic Senators frequently withheld their endorsements for judicial nominees from their states–a traditional system known as “blue slips”–because Trump’s nominees were questionable at best: ten of his 267 nominees were rated “not qualified,” nearly half of the 22 nominees so rated by the American Bar Association since 1989. Of the remaining 67 were ranked with the middling “qualified.” Only 70% were ranked “very qualified.”
Unconvicted killer Kyle Rittenhouse is suing one of the men he shot in Kenosha, Wisconsin in 2020 for emotional distress and assault, perhaps because he doesn’t want to get a real job and learned that conservatives are easy to grift.
“Today I have filed a counter lawsuit against Mr. [Gaige] Grosskreutz-for assault and emotional distress we look forward to holding him accountable in court,” Rittenhouse tweeted. Armed with a Glock, Grosskreutz was working as a legal observer for the ACLU when he saw Rittenhouse shoot another protester, prompting Grosskreutz to draw his weapon. Grosskreutz never fired; Rittenhouse raised his gun to shoot Grosskreutz even though Grosskreutz had raised his hands after Rittenhouse shot his first victim. After Rittenhouse’s gun jammed, Grosskreutz tried to jump on Rittenhouse to prevent him from shooting, but Rittenhouse was able to re-rack his AR-15-style assault rifle and shot Grosskreutz in the arm, severing his bicep muscle.
Grosskreutz filed a $10 million lawsuit against Rittenhouse in 2021, a suit allowed to carry on by a judge last year. Rittenhouse has a crowdfunding page to fund his attempt to re-victimize one of his shooting victim, raising less than half of the $500,000 he sought for his “legal defense fund” he set up in 2022.
CNN reviewed fat former President Trump’s financial disclosure and found that the twice-impeached loser made at least $1 million off the sale of his stupid NFT digital trading cards depicting him as a superhero and other such ridiculousness which debuted to wide mockery last December.
