NBC News reports that convicted felon Donald Trump will have his New York City license to possess a gun revoked shortly; it had been suspended after his indictment.  It’s actually unclear if Trump himself owns guns:  while he’s been photographed awkwardly holding different weapons, there are no photographs or videos of him actually firing a weapon, unlike previous presidents.   Trump’s two adult sons are fond of posing with animals they paid to kill and mutilate using guns to compensate for their shortcomings.

The Georgia Court of Appeals ordered the Fulton County RICO trial against former president and malignant mango Donald Trump to pause proceedings while it considers the defendant’s appeal of a lower court ruling allowing District Attorney Fani Willis to stay on the case, the AP reports.

The order sets the date for oral arguments “if requested and granted” for October 4th, virtually ensuring this aspect of the case will not be finalized until after the November election.

A Fox “Business” News panel on Wednesday decided to switch things up and not blow smoke up viewers’ asses by getting them amped for Hunter Biden being convicted of lying on a federal gun permit application, citing that the trial is taking place in “Biden town” and that several of the jurors have family members who have suffered from addiction… Meaning the smarter choice right now for Fox is to pre-enrage fans over a “two-tiered justice system” rather than guarantee a “win.” This isn’t just right wing media being “circumspect” either as this morning Daily Beast legal contributor Shan Wu wrote that it appears the prosecution may’ve already lost the jury in Hunter’s trial.

A new survey of likely voters in Ohio by National Public Affairs finds incumbent Dem Senator Sherrod Brown leading bi-curious car dealer Bernie Moreno 54 percent to 46 percent in the super-freaking-important race for the seat. While we can’t speak to National Public Affairs’s reliability as we haven’t seen their track record, they also found convicted felon former President Trump leading President Biden by the same 54 to 46 margin, which is pretty close to Ohio’s 53.3 percent Trump to 43.2 percent Biden result in 2020, so maybe they know their stuff and aren’t just making shit up like some other pollsters we know. Plus the name “National Public Affairs” sounds kind of venerable and institution-ish. Then again so do the “Heritage Foundation” and “Federal Society.”

There was a lot of dumb shit said in the New York Times’s focus group of 11 undecided voters reacting to fat former President Trump’s felony conviction, moderated by Kevin McCarthy’s former roommate, Republican pollster Frank Luntz. On net it probably wasn’t good for Trump if this is what few remaining undecided voters nationally are thinking as five said they would vote for Biden, three for Trump, two for Robert F Brainworms Jr, and one said she would stay home if the election were held tomorrow. But a lot of it was still fucking stupid, mostly on the part of the MAGA curious.

One of the Trump-leaners said he’s mad the jury convicted Trump because they “they listened to witnesses like Cohen and took him at his word.” Another Trump guy, who’s waiting to see who Donald picks as a running mate, called the fat bastard “an antihero,” explaining it as “Trump is not a moral compass to a lot of his supporters. He’s the bad guy that’ll do things on our behalf. He’s the Tony Soprano or the Walter White.” Apparently reacting to Biden’s response to the verdict, one of the RFK Jr leaners said “Well, I would say Biden now is off the table after today, but I think today’s action… I think Biden looks ungracious and looks incredibly weak to me. I can envision a scenario where a lot of undecideds who maybe won’t pull the lever for Trump run to Robert Kennedy Jr.”

The funniest takeaway from the verdict: “I want a president who’s going to be able to cover up a $130,000 bribe to Daniels. Black MAGA Congressmen Byron Donalds and Wesley Hunt hosted a “cigars and cognac” event for Black men at a bar in Philly on Tuesday, inviting a Philadelphia Inquirer reporter who got Donalds on the record saying some, uh, pretty fucked up shit about the pre-Civil Rights era.

“You see, during Jim Crow, the Black family was together. During Jim Crow, more Black people were not just conservative – Black people have always been conservative-minded – but more Black people voted conservatively. The bar of course is located in one of Philly’s whitest, most conservative neighborhoods, as is the new “outreach office” whose opening Hunt and Donalds had attended earlier in the day. “The crowd at the office opening in a tight Holmesburg rowhouse, formerly an optometrist’s office, was diverse, but the census tract is 65 percent white, and the ward voted for Trump in 2020,” the Inquirer wrote.

Further down they mentioned that the sign-in sheet for the cognac bar event, which did draw a mostly Black crowd, showed about half of the signers had out-of-town addresses.
