Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald, one of the fake Trump 2020 electors from the Silver State who last June had his phone seized by FBI agents apparently pursuant to a search warrant as part of the post-election coup attempt investigation, was spotted Thursday by NBC’s Ryan Reilly outside of the DC federal courthouse room where the grand jury in that case has been meeting. “Not on my bucket list,” McDonald told Reilly about testifying.

A new USA Today/Suffolk University survey finds President Joe Biden statistically tied with disgraced former President Trump 34 to 32 percent in a 2024 rematch with an unnamed third party candidate pulling in 23 percent support and another 9 percent undecided. Biden however has a clear lead in a matchup against heels-wearing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis at 33 to 26 percent.

Obviously any Dem voter would want Biden to have a clear lead over Trump, but that so many respondents took the out of the magical third party candidate who will once and for all upend the ceaseless Red vs Blue shitshow so many have understandably become disillusioned with is probably better news for Joe than Donald. No third partier is ever going to be “viable” any time soon, the question is whether one might emerge and reach Ross Perot’s level of “viability” next year. It’s hard to see Trump being the second choice of those who want neither.

Frustrating as findings like this might be, the “I can’t believe American voters can be this stupid” talk is for losers. Nobody should blame low-info voters for taking an out given to them in a survey when it’s offered. The Washington Post reports that since landing in Miami Monday night, Trump has been trying to find a qualified lawyer who’s an active member of the Florida Bar to represent him at Tuesday’s federal arraignment hearing on 37 counts.  Apparently, Trump is having difficulty finding a lawyer to join his team willing to potentially lose his law license or turn State’s evidence.  It doesn’t help that the two lawyers representing Trump in the documents case, Jim Trusty and John Rowley, reportedly quit last week.  The Post reports Trump wants a seasoned lawyer to represent him through the trial, quite a task given the late timing and the fact that the attorney would not likely be able to find any work outside politics after this trial.

What Jordan describes as former FBI Washington Field Office Chief Steven D’Antuono having “expressed strong concerns with the Department’s pursuit of the raid” during the in last week was actually a tactical disagreement between the FBI and Justice Department prosecutors that D’Antuono said was “an everyday discussion,” per Politico. “We made comments like this – like, ‘no one is down there anyway at this point,’ right. It’s empty. The [former] president is gone. He was in Bedminster, or wherever he was. Let’s plan this the right way. We’ve got time,” said D’Antuono.

Stupid story short, Jordan cherry-picked from the interview to try the best he could to make it sound like D’Antuono was having some sort of crisis of conscience over subjecting the Orange Allah to such an atrocity when none of that happened. “So if somebody took it the other way, I’m sorry, but that’s – that was just the general discussion that we would have in every case. Every case,” literally is what D’Antuono told investigators in the interview last Tuesday.

The search for a The Villages, Florida-area registered Republican voter ended happily when she was found safe and sound, smoking a cigarette outside of a Wawa convenience store late Thursday, Villages-News.com reports. Staff at the UF Health-The Villages Hospital had become concerned for 57 year-old Margaret Mary Maitski after she had become combative with them as she was being discharged following treatment for an unspecified issue and stormed off in a stolen ambulance.

When Sumter County sheriff’s deputies located the stolen ambulance at a nearby Wawa convenience store, they were relieved to also find Maitski sitting on an outdoor picnic table smoking a cigarette with other folks. Upon informing her that she was under arrest for motor vehicle theft, she became “verbally abusive and shouting vulgarities” while resisting cops’ efforts to detain her.

The deputy who drove Maitski to Sumpter County Detention Center noted that the suspect said “several explicit sexual remarks, racial remarks and stated several times she is going to find me and kill me,” during the ride. Maitski faces charges of theft of a motor vehicle, battery on a law enforcement officer, intimidation, and resisting arrest. She was booked on $13,000 bond.
