Seriously. Is this show any good? Has anyone seen it and liked it or was it complete shit? We need some reader reviews of the premiere episode, which debuted on Paramount+ on Thursday. Really curious here to learn what people think of this highly anticipated new sci-fi action series.
Because it was fucking awesome and there’s no way I can be unbiased about it. The name “Spartan” comes from the cyborg super soldiers from the video game series this new TV show is adapted from, so I’m not a person who could be even remotely objective here. As such, it’d be best if someone who has never played the games before could check it out and let us know. Come in cold. Is it accessible? Do you think this is just utter nonsense or are you on board? Let’s hear it.
And to be sincerely objective: The CGI sucks just a little bit. Like in still images it looks great but the animations are just a little bit lame compared to other TV and movies in this day and age. The aliens are also just a little dorkier looking design-wise than they are in the games. But overall it’s worth watching for fans. It might actually be pretty entertaining for non-fans too.
