A new Marist/NPR/PBS News survey of likely voters in North Carolina finds Vice President Kamala Harris tied with convicted felon former President Trump at 48 each in the Tar Heel State, while Trump leads 50 to 49 percent in both Arizona and Georgia. Of course they left out Nevada.

Good God. We have so many questions. Like how the hell does a woman who’s lived in the United States for like three decades still talk like a first year ESL student? And do Fox News video editors get paid more than the industry average given the obviously challenging nature of packaging such, um, “interviews” for the network’s audience? And how many times did they try to get Melania to answer that simple question before just giving up and running with that?
A new set of surveys of likely voters by University of Massachusetts-Lowell and YouGov finds Vice President Kamala Harris leading convicted felon former President Trump 48 to 46 percent in Pennsylvania and 48 to 43 percent in Michigan, Politico Playbook reports without actually linking the poll data, claiming it’s a “sneak peak” that one of their team “got an early look at.” In the Senate races Dems have wider leads with Michigan Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin up 47 to 34 percent over Republican former Congressman Mike Rogers for the open seat and incumbent Dem Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey ahead of hedge fund douchebag Dave McCormick 47 to 38 percent.
With the caveats that its’ an “Axios Vibes Survey by The Harris Poll,” combining two of the leading brands in political media douchebaggery, the finding by the survey asking Americans what they see as the top sources of mis- and disinformation nowadays is still pretty interesting, as 51 percent of respondents listed “Politicians spreading misinformation” as the most concerning origin.
Tied for second place on the non-exclusive multi-choice list were “Social media companies failing to stop misinformation” and “AI being used to deceive people” at 35 percent. A close third at 34 percent was “Media personalities spreading revisionist history.” Surprisingly “Foreign governments spreading misinformation” ranked only fifth at 30 percent. Not sure what that says about Americans after almost a decade of Russian propaganda ops on the internet. Maybe it’s just a given at this point and that the finding reflects a recognition of domestic bullshit as more salient.
Harris Poll CEO John Gerzema seems to see it that way. “It’s like, ‘The call is coming from inside the house. In past elections, there was always fear of misinformation and election interference coming from abroad. But here we see the most likely source of concern is America’s own politicians spreading misinformation. It used to be, we were worried about China or Russia, fake ads or Facebook. Now, no, it’s coming from the campaigns,” said Gerzema. Of course he didn’t single out any particular political campaign that might be a little more reliant on falsehoods than others.
On another finding, Axios writes “In one noteworthy partisan difference, however, Republicans are much more likely than Democrats to dismiss information that conflicts with their own views if it comes from a source they don’t know,” as if that’s somehow surprising or that it actually matters whether or not it’s from a source “they don’t know.” Try taking a look at the Fox News comments under the article on their own poll showing Kamala Harris up 2 percent over Trump.
In commentary that you did not need to squint very hard to see as a frank admission that his interviews of convicted felon former President Trump are propaganda exercises rather than even pretending to be anything resembling “journalism,” Fox News meathead Sean Hannity on Wednesday didn’t really have any specific complaints about the premise of “MSDNC” anchor Stephanie Ruhle’s interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, even if the graphic kind of said otherwise.
Due this afternoon, Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith’s team’s 180 page filing outlining the evidence against convicted felon former President Trump in the long-stalled DC post-2020 election coup conspiracy case will, because we can’t have nice things, be under seal and out of the public view for as long as Judge Tanya Chutkan deems necessary due to rules surrounding grand jury secrecy, Politico reports on yet another disappointment for anti-MAGAs.
One would hope that, given the amount of time this has all taken, and Smith’s team already knew at least about a week ago, exactly how long the filing is, the prosecutors have already marked which testimony, exhibits, etc, might fall under the secrecy rules and already have them marked, so that it’s just a matter of flipping through the pages to decide which ones to enter into the public docket.
A remote zoo in northern Finland will deport two pandas back to China far ahead of their scheduled 2033 return due to the cost of their care exceeding what the zoo can afford these days, the BBC reports. Marko Haapakoski, curator at Ähtäri Zoo, said the €1.5 million annual upkeep for Lumi and Pyry was “much more than all the other species combined,” as they needed imported bamboo and a licensing fee to the Chinese government, who also required a keeper to be with them 24/7.
Deporting the pandas is “a good thing for the zoo because they were so expensive,” but the pandas had been “doing really well, so it’s a pity”, said Haapakoski. “They’re really nice to work with.”
“If I’m charged, I know I’m innocent, and I will request an immediate trial so New Yorkers can hear the truth,” rumored-to-be-indicted Democratic New York Mayor Eric Adams says sincerely into the camera before his lawyers start a series of delaying maneuvers to prevent information from becoming public. Adams reportedly faces a variety of federal charges relating to corrupt dealings with foreign governments, making Adams an obvious sacrificial lamb along with former New Jersey Democratic Senator Bob Menendez who faces charges to fool people into think Biden has weaponized the Justice Department solely against his political enemies.
An eleven-nation coalition led by the United States has called for a three-week ceasefire in the fighting between Hezbollah and Israel in Lebanon, the Associated Press reports, pushing for a de-escalation of violence and an opportunity to broaden peace talks in the region.
“We call for an immediate 21-day cease-fire across the Lebanon-Israel border to provide space for diplomacy,” the statement reads. “We call on all parties, including the Governments of Israel and Lebanon, to endorse the temporary cease-fire immediately,” adding “We are then prepared to fully support all diplomatic efforts to conclude an agreement between Lebanon and Israel within this period, building on efforts over the last months, that ends this crisis altogether,”
The statement, negotiated while diplomats are in New York for the UN General Assembly, was signed by officials from the US and eleven European allies, comes after some unknown organization undertook covert attacks on Hezbollah leaders through explosives in pagers and walkie-talkies.
A federal grand jury on Wednesday indicted New York City Mayor Eric Adams on unspecified corruption charges, the New York Times reports, citing three sources familiar with the matter. It’s not clear when the indictment will be unsealed, but take your pick of what this jackass is going to be nailed for – accepting campaign funds from Turkey, whatever the hell the now-former NYPD Commissioner was in on, or something else entirely. Or some combination thereof.
A woman who joined a neo-Nazi to plan an attack to take out the electrical grid around Baltimore by attacking transfer stations was sentenced to 18 years in prison on Wednesday, more than the term recommended by federal prosecutors, WMAR ABC-2 in Baltimore reports.
Working with neo-Nazi Brandon Clint Russell, a Florida man, whom she met while both were in prison, 36-year-old Sarah Beth Clendaniel cooperated with investigators in Russell’s prosecution. In February 2023, the pair planned to use guns and explosives to take a number of BGE power stations offline, a plan that could have knocked out power for more than a million people in and around Baltimore.
“Those who seek to attack our country’s critical infrastructure will face the full force of the United States Department of Justice,” said Attorney General Merrick B. Garland. “Sarah Beth Clendaniel sought to ‘completely destroy’ the city of Baltimore by targeting five power substations as a means of furthering her violent white supremacist ideology. She will now spend the next 18 years in federal prison. The Justice Department will continue to aggressively counter, disrupt, and prosecute those who seek to launch these kinds of hate-fueled attacks that target our critical infrastructure, endanger entire cities, and threaten our national security.”
Higgins stands by his hatred
Racist Louisiana MAGA Congressman Clay Higgins on Wednesday told CNN that, contrary to Jesus Dork Speaker Mike Johnson’s claim that Higgins was somehow contrite for posting a bunch or hateful shit about Haitians, he stood by his comments. “It’s all true,” Higgins said of his tweet calling Haitian Americans pet eaters and “slapstick gangsters” into voodoo. “I can put up another controversial post tomorrow if you want me to. I mean, we do have freedom of speech.”
“I’ll say what I want. It’s not a big deal to me. It’s like something stuck to the bottom of my boot. Just scrape it off and move on with my life,” the former cop suspected of brutality continued.
North Carolina Lt Gov Mark Robinson’s other staff, the ones on the public payroll of the lieutenant gubernatorial office, have followed their counterparts on the Nazi porn freak’s campaign staff, WRAL reports. Top advisor Brian LiVecchi, comms director John Wesley Waugh, policy director Jonathan Harris, and Director of Government Affairs Nathan Lewis are all either gone or soon will be.
“Clay Higgins is a dear friend”
Sinner Michael, thou shalt not bear false witness. You definitely fucking saw what Higgins had posted and “prayer” doesn’t make his hateful bloodlust against Haitian Americans right.
“The environment appears primed for significant strengthening while Helene moves across the Gulf of Mexico. The forecast track more or less runs along the axis of the Loop Current during the next 24 hours, where ocean temperatures are about 30 degrees Celsius. In addition, Helene will be moving through an environment of low vertical shear and strong upper-level divergence. Some of the Rapid Intensification (RI) indices, particular DTOPS, respond to this environment by indicating at least a 90 percent chance of a 35-kt increase in intensity over the next 24 hours. The NHC intensity forecast now shows an intensity of 115 kt (Category 4) at 24 hours, which is mirrored by several of the regional hurricane models and the SHIPS guidance. It should be noted that additional strengthening is possible beyond 24 hours before Helene makes landfall Thursday evening. ”
“Helene is forecast to be a large major hurricane when it reaches the Big Bend coast of Florida. As a result, storm surge, wind, and rainfall impacts will extend well away from the center and outside the forecast cone, particularly on the east side. In addition, the fast forward speed when Helene moves inland will result in a far inland penetration of strong winds over parts of the southeastern United States, including strong gusts over higher terrain of the southern Appalachians. A higher-than-normal gust factor has been indicated in the official forecast while Helene is inland,” says a National Hurricane Center forecast advisory for Hurricane Helene. This one’s no joke.
Scalise kills censure of Higgins
House Majority Leader Steve Scalise was in no mood to entertain a censure of fellow MAGA racist Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins, blocking a motion from Nevada Dem Steven Horsford because Higgins had already deleted his tweet cruelly badmouthing Haitian Americans for “Eating pets, vudu, nastiest country in the western hemisphere, cults, slapstick gangsters. All these thugs better get their mind right and their ass out of our country before January 20th.”
“First of all, the tweet has been deleted already…And if we want to go through everything the other side has said we willbe happy do it!” Scalise said, defending Higgins.
In a new set of findings published Wednesday from the NBC News national survey originally posted on Sunday, just 4 percent of respondents approve of convicted felon former President Trump’s Project 2025 plan to end American democracy and create a theofascist police state, while 57 percent disapprove of it. The findings overall suggest that Dems did a solid job of spreading awareness of the plot and maximally leveraging it against the fat fuck.
House kicks can to December 20th
The House of Representatives on Wednesday passed 341 to 82 a three month continuing resolution to fund the federal government, kicking the can down the road to December 20th.
One of the most racist and bigoted posts I’ve seen from a fellow member of Congress. And from his official government account at that. Disgusting. pic.twitter.com/BpoLxVr9jj

Since some of Higgins’ tweet may be cut off, here’s the whole of what he wrote: “Lol. These Haitians are wild. Eating pets, vudu, nastiest country in the western hemisphere, cults, slapstick gangsters… but damned if they don’t feel all sophisticated now, filing charges against our President and VP. All these thugs better get their mind right and their ass out of our country before January 20th.”
AOC calls on Eric Adams to resign
In a statement to the New York Times, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Wednesday called on corrupt idiot Mayor Eric Adams to hang it up, saying “The flood of resignations and vacancies are threatening government function. Nonstop investigations will make it impossible to recruit and retain a qualified administration. For the good of the city, he should resign.”
