Continued: “I could have easily made a very good deal with the IRS during my 4 years as President, but thought it inappropriate to do so. Besides, I already had a deal from before my Presidency – A deal which they choose not to honor. So now I am demanding the original deal, without late changes in the rules & regulations so that deal would be harder to make. Most people would say that after watching the Biden family take advantage of government, I should have made deal during my term. To me, CONFLICT” and what the hell kind of “deal” is he talking about?
President Biden told reporters on Tuesday there’s no more he can do on his own vua executive action to crack down on gun rampages, Bloomberg’s Josh Wingrove reports. “I have gone the full extent of my executive authority, on my own. I can’t do anything except plead with Congress to act.”
There are many threads, too many, in fact to present in a real story format without simply copying and pasting this excellent piece in the Texas Tribune. Neither their headline or ours really can truly capture the breadth and depth of the stunning anti-LGBTQ hypocrisy and outright fascism of the Harris County, Texas GOP’s former leader. So here’s our best shot at laying this all out:
Paul Presler is a 92 year-old retired justice of the Texas 14th Circuit Court of Appeals, who was George HW Bush’s pick to lead the Office of Government Ethics in 1989 but withdrew due to… ethics issues. In his religious life, Pressler was instrumental in leading the Southern Baptist Convention’s hard right turn in the 1980s as a power broker and later in 2002 Vice President of the denomination, including the 1979 election of hardcore homophobe Anita Bryant as president of the SBC.
Surprise, Pressler likes boys, and in 2017 was accused of sexually molesting a teenager for years in a lawsuit that’s still ongoing. His law partner is former Harris County, Texas GOP chair Jared Woodfill, a hardcore homophobe whose resume includes helping to defeat an LGBTQ rights ordinance in Houston, representing 117 Houston Methodist Hospital workers who were fired after refusing to get vaccinated for COVID, and defending the crazy asshole conservative activist who paid a former police captain to nearly kill an innocent HVAC repairman they thought was driving around in a truck full of fake ballots in the weeks before the 2020 election. Yeah.
Disgraced crypto douche Sam Bankman-Fried was hit with yet another indictment on Tuesday, this time a federal grand jury charging him with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act for paying $40 million to the ChiComs to release $1 billion in coins that had been impounded by authorities in Beijing in 2021.
Weird how the fanboys missed this one. Seems like everyone they don’t like is in hock to the ChiComs, but for some reason they came up with some convoluted Ukrainian-Dems laundering of military aid to Kyiv nonsense that of course didn’t pan out, while all along somehow their “digital soldiers” were missing what federal law enforcement was able to find about Bankrupt-Fried’s Chinese connections. We look forward to their explanation about how they knew this all along.
Testimony in the still-ongoing Proud Boys January 6th seditious conspiracy trial was called off Tuesday and Wednesday due to a sick juror and one of the defendants catching pink eye – Politico’s Kyle Cheney didn’t say which one it was while reporting on the hilarious mishap.
Rand Paul staffer Phil Todd suffered internal brain bleeding and a punctured lung in the random attack by some sick fuck who had just been released after 12 years in prison, CBS News reports on more details from the Saturday stabbing attack that happened outside of an H street restaurant.
The 42 year-old ex-con Glynn Neal’s knife “penetrated the skull and likely caused an internal brain bleed,” according to a police affidavit following Neal’s arrest. Cops were able to track the asshole down after he dropped his phone at the scene. No comment yet from Nancy Pelosi’s daughter.
An investigation by the Washington Post finds that MAGA scumbag Ginni Thomas had structured her far right activist organization’s funding to ensure that all donations – over $596,000 over the past three years – were anonymously channeled through cutouts in an effort to evade scrutiny.
Pepsi’s announcement that they’re cutting the sugar content of a 12oz can from 36 grams down to 15 grams in the UK was not well met by a diabetic advocacy group in the country, who warned that the change would mean Type 1 patients would have to drink more to “hypo,” Sky News reports.
“If you use Pepsi as a hypo treatment then it is important to be aware of this change, as you are likely to need a larger volume of the new version to effectively treat your hypo,” the Diabetes UK organization said in a statement. They did not however say anything along the lines of “Hey, this is great since it might mean fewer people will develop diabetes. More soda companies should do this.”
A fire tore through a migrant center in Ciudad Juarez, just over the Mexican border from El Paso, Texas early on Tuesday, killing at least 37 and injuring 21 more, NBC News reports. No word on cause yet, but the Mexican prosecutor general’s office is investigating. The center is located near the Santa Fe International Bridge into El Paso, a major transit point between the two countries.

The Belgian federal prosecutors office on Tuesday announced a series of coordinated raids on suspected terrorist hideouts, arresting eight suspects, the AP reports without saying if they were right wing Neo-Nazis or ISIS assholes. We guess they could be Antifa too, but probably not.
“At least two of the people involved are suspected of planning to carry out a terrorist attack in Belgium. The target of the attack has not yet been determined,” said the prosecutor’s office in a statement. The raids come just after the seven year anniversary of the March 22, 2016 Brussels train station and airport suicide bombings in which 32 were killed. The surviving members of the cell are currently on trial – among them is Salah Abdeslam, who was the lone escapee after the horrific November 2015 Paris stadium and concert hall terror attacks which killed 130.
More recent however are police actions the MAGA side, as in September 2022 cops shot and killed one white nationalist terror suspect in Antwerp and arrested an unknown number in a series of coordinated raids on far right groups. So Tuesday’s arrests really could go either way.
A mob of Kenyan libs stormed a farm owned by the family of former President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday in an apparent act of retaliation for protests blamed on Kenyatta, the BBC reports. One man at the scene offered to sell a journalist one of Kenyatta’s sheep for $23. Cops did not intervene.
After one of Fox’s imported contributors, Miranda Devine, said Donald Trump “looks like someone who is full of grievance” for focusing on the past, human filth Stephen Miller unloads on her even though she praised Trump’s “sunny” disposition and a person “who focuses on serious issues and does them with panache–a word which must mean something like “horrific outcomes” in her native land. Miller points to Trump’s plans to build Soviet-style “freedom cities” and a policy to end child mutilation (as Miller calls treatment for transgender children). The best part of the video is the increasing agitation displayed by Miller as he realizes no one supports what he’s saying, not even hostess and one-time Trump advisor Laura Ingraham.
Cross-examined on the witness stand in the far right street gang’s still-ongoing seditious conspiracy trial, defense witness and Proud Boys member Fernando Alonso told a prosecutor a December 24, 2020 text from him asking other members “When do we start stacking bodies on the White House Lawn?” was simply “locker room talk,” CNN reports on a Trump classic making its way into his violent fans’ trying to excuse their plot to overthrown the United States government.
Donald struggled in his big Monday interview with Sean Hannity to explain that “baseball bat” picture that appeared on his Truth Social post before he deleted it over the weekend. We’ll give him this: It was overblown. Trump didn’t pick that photo arrangement, it was the that shitty National File site (which the moron here calls a newspaper). It’d be one thing if he had reposted a photoshopped meme or something, but it was an article link and Truth Social’s API pulled the photo to his profile.
Trump then tried to similarly disown the “death and destruction” post. That one was all him.
IRS agents paid a very intimidating visit to douchey edgelord “journalist” Matt Taibbi’s home earlier this month, The Wall Street Journal editorial board and not any actual journalists reported on Monday. The visit coincided with Tabbi’s testimony to the House “Weaponization” Committee in which he refused to say if Kanye West promising to go “Death con 3” on Jews was anti-semitic.
It’s not clear why the editorial board reported this instead of the news division. Well the very specific reason why is unclear. The broader reason – that it’s complete bullshit being hyped by Jim Jordan – is obvious enough. The last “news” reported by the Journal’s editorial board was the Hunter Biden laptop story from back in October 2020, which their actual reporters had also passed on.
Mike Lindell doesn’t look so good
The summary of Stop Forced Organ Harvesting Act of 2023 (HR 1154) reads “This bill imposes sanctions on persons (individuals and entities) involved in forced organ trafficking and authorizes the Department of State to revoke the passports of individuals convicted of certain crimes related to organ trafficking. Specifically, the President must report to Congress a list of persons that facilitate (1) forced organ harvesting, or (2) trafficking in persons for organ harvesting. For each person on the list, the President must impose property- and visa-blocking sanctions.”
“Furthermore, the State Department may deny or revoke the passport of an individual who has been convicted of a federal crime of knowingly transferring any human organ for valuable consideration for use in human transplantation, if the individual (1) is subject to imprisonment or supervised release resulting from that conviction, and (2) used a passport or crossed an international border when committing that crime,” which sounds about as unobjectionable as a bill can get these days.
The bill passed the House on Monday by a vote of 412 to 2. The two nays were Kentucky MAGA Congressman Thomas Massie and white nationalist barbarian Marjorie Taylor Greene.
