House Freedom Caucasians member Chip Roy on Wednesday announced his endorsement for heels-wearing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for president in 2024, possibly becoming the first currently sitting GOP member of Congress to come officially out in support of Tiny D.

“The next President of the United States must be a vibrant and energetic leader with the faith, vision, and courage to chart a new course. America needs a leader who will truly defend her and empower the people against the destructive force of unrestrained government and corporate excess, profligate spending, and woke cultural indoctrination,” and blah blah blah wrote the Texas Congressman in his endorsement announcement via The Daily Caller. We’ll have to look into this but it does appear that Roy is the first member of the 118th Congress to officially endorse any candidate for the Republican primary other than fat former President Trump in 2024.

Five Georgians who served on the Fulton County special grand jury investigating fat former president Trump’s failed attempt to overturn his humiliating defeat in the 2020 election sat down for an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and shared a handful of previously unreported details about the evidence and testimony they heard when deciding to recommend charges against the twice-impeached loser and his minions, including a previously undisclosed phone call in which Donald tried to get the now-late state House Speaker David Ralston to call a special session of the legislature to override the will of the voters and appoint a Trump slate to the electoral college.

About that call, one of the jurors – all of whom who spoke on the condition of anonymity to the Journal-Constitution – described Ralston as having “basically cut the president off. He said, ‘I will do everything in my power that I think is appropriate.’ He just basically took the wind out of the sails. ‘Well, thank you,’ you know, is all the president could say.” The jurors also heard from Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s wife Trish about the death threats that came from deranged MAGA terrorists over Brad’s refusals to entertain voter fraud Trump’s bullshit, and loser former Senator David Perdue’s testimony on when he tried to get Governor Brian Kemp to call the special session.

Most of the rest is details about the insane levels of security the jurors had to deal with pretty much every day they worked on the case, including how a bomb-sniffing dog was brought in on the day disgraced traitor ex-General Mike Flynn testified on his involvement in the coup attempt.

Pennsylvania QAnon freak Kathy Barnette, who came in third in the 2022 Republican US Senate primary, told Politico on Wednesday she won’t be running again in 2024, potentially removing an obstacle for 2022 gubernatorial loser and fellow QAnon freak state Senator Doug Mastriano if he ends up facing off against second-place 2022 Senate primary loser David McCormick in the upcoming primary contest to take on incumbent Democrat Senator Bob Casey.

A recent Public Policy Polling survey found Barnette’s support for a potential 2024 run at 11 percent among Keystone State Republican voters, in third behind Mastriano’s 39 percent and McCormick’s 21 percent. Probably a safe bet that Mastriano would’ve been the second choice for Barnette’s fans, making this drop-out pretty fucking bad news for NRSC chief Senator Steve Daines. Or maybe it’s good news if he can just give up on Pennsylvania now and decide to spend the money elsewhere.

Disgraced former President Trump’s “Make America Great Again Inc” PAC on Wednesday filed a 15-page ethics complaint in Florida against Ron DeSantis, accusing the heels-wearing governor of waging a “shadow presidential campaign” without officially declaring it yet, NBC News reports.

The complaint, filed with the Florida Commission on Ethics, asks for an investigation into Tiny D’s “personally lucrative book tour” and alleges his continued state-level campaign contributions, among other things, “are unlawful because they serve his personal political objectives, are in furtherance of his personal financial gain at the expense of Florida taxpayers, and are intended to influence his official decision to resign from office,” and a lot of other grievances that might’ve sounded just a little bit more sincere if they came anyone other than Trump.

Not sure what to add here considering that, absent serving in elected office at the time, Trump is most certainly guilty of basically all of the same “shadow campaign” shit prior officially announcing he was running again back in November 2022, and that the complaint is meaningless and will almost certainly go nowhere, or that the words “Trump” and “ethics” go together like toothpaste and orange juice. But once you get past all that it’s a shrewd political move to file this complaint, we guess.

Color us impressed that a reporter from The Hill of all places was the first to really put a right winger on the spot and ask them to define “woke” when “Rising” host Briahna Joy Gray asked MAGA homeschooling influencer Bethany Mandel to do so, leading to some lengthy awkward pauses.

Disgraced former President Trump’s plan to take on rival Ron DeSantis for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination will include attacks on Tiny D’s record as an “extremely lenient prosecutor” on child porn while serving as Assistant US Attorney from 2008 to 2012, Politico reports.

Already DeSantis allies are acting like facts are going to matter when the Orange God Emperor unleashes his wrath over some plea deals. “To make any allegation that he was soft on any kind of case, especially child pornography, is just ludicrous. It defies the logic of what I saw in the office or what my office would let happen,” said former Assistant US Attorney Ron Henry, DeSantis’s former supervisor at the Middle District of Florida. “He wasn’t a lone wolf on his own making deals without the entire weight of the US Attorney’s office overseeing what he was doing.”

Federal prosecutors in New York have opened up an investigation into the Steve Bannon and Boris Epshteyn-backed $FJB (Fuck Joe Biden) cryptocurrency after its value collapsed and the Wounded Warriors Project indicated they received $0 in charitable contributions from the sales of the fake digital currency touted since the two scumbag Trump minions became involved, ABC News reports.

It actually gets even better than that: A rep for $FJB said publicly, on a call with investors in October 2022, that some of the money from the 8 percent transaction fee collected for trades of the coin – money that at least some of which was advertised as going to Wounded Warriors and other charities – had gone “missing.” Last month Bannon and Epshteyn announced they were walking away from $FJB, only to reverse within minutes after buyers exploded with outrage. Total nothingburger, libs.

Clashes erupted in the Pakistani city of Lahore on Wednesday as supporters of ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan blocked cops from moving in to arrest Khan at his home in an upscale district after an arrest warrant was issued when Khan failed to show up in court on graft charges, the AP reports.

Fans of Khan have been fighting cops for at least 18 hours and there’s no sign yet police are any closer to detaining the former leader, who was removed last year by Parliament and subsequently barred from running for elected office again. It probably need not be said here that this might just be some sort of cautionary tale on what happens when maniacal fans of a disgraced former national leader perceive a threat to his returning to power from criminal charges.

Federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York last year began investigating whether Truth Social’s parent company, the Trump Media and Technology Group, violated money laundering laws when they accepted an $8 million loan from Kremlin-linked Carribbean banks, the Guardian reports.

Russian President Vladimir Putin detailed a plan to destabilize the government of Moldova in a document obtained by Yahoo News, showing Putin intends to wreak havoc in the region as a challenge to NATO and EU influence.  Developed by the Kremlin’s euphemistically-named Presidential Directorate for Cross-Border Cooperation, the plan notes goals for 2022, meaning it was likely drafted at some time in 2021.  According to the plan, Russia would have a Kremlin-friendly regime in Chișinău by 2030.

Indications are Russia has started its operation, with scores of Russians, including at least one member of the mercenary Wagner Group, being stopped illegally trying to cross into Moldova.  Two days after US officials publicly warned of foul play in the European nation, thousands of protesters calling for the ouster of the current government filled the streets of the capital demonstrating against the current administration’s pro-Western policies.  The document is similar to one outlining the Kremlin’s plan to take over Belarus, which has been assisted by the pro-Putin regime currently leading that nation.

Moldova is in a difficult position politically and geographically:  It’s got EU and NATO member Romania along its western border, while its remaining border abuts Ukraine.  Plus, a strip of land along its Ukraine is the breakaway territory known as Transnistria is currently occupied by a force of Russian peacekeepers stationed there since an early 1990s revolt forced out Moldovan officials and the region declared itself independent.  Currently, the European Council classifies the region as occupied by Russia.

Diamond Sports Group, the largest operator of regional sports networks and a wholly-owned subsidiary of the conservative-leaning Sinclair broadcasting, filed for bankruptcy Tuesday in Texas, citing more than $8 billion in debt, CNBC reports.

In 2019, Sinclair bought a number of regional sports networks from Disney for more than $10 billion, including $8 billion in debt.  Apparently, Sinclair hasn’t figure out how to make that money back, so now it will file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Texas, even though Sinclair is headquartered in Maryland.

Trump Media and Technology Group, the endeavor headed by former Congressman and bovine pest Devin Nunes, has laid off six people–about 25% of the company’s reported 25-person workforce–including the chief technology officer, Bloomberg reports.  Founded in 2021, TMTG reportedly loses its third Chief Technology Officer, William “BJ” Lawson as usage of Truth Social drops:  the platform had fewer than six million visits in February, down from a peak of 11.5 million in August.

TMTG runs Truth Social, Trump’s failing Twitter ripoff, and is likely cutting staff in preparation for its planned merger with Digitial World Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company whose members have yet to authorize the investment.  The merger would inject millions into the platform–and into the Trumps’ pockets–but the advertising sales model for the site has failed to generate expected funds because the Trump brand is toxic.

With Republicans failing to present any policy initiatives that won’t eventually lead to more defamation cases, Fox is relegated to discussing the things that are so far down the list of priorities for most American families that they last made their appearance while Donald Trump actually was president. To join the latest tempest in a non-stick pan regarding the unimpending loss of gas stoves, Fox host and unpublicized Trump advisor Sean Hannity brought on losing Republican Michigan gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon, who must use Bounty for toilet paper given that she can’t expel her guano in one flush.

In a letter responding to an FOIA request received by NBC News this week, the FBI said they could find no records supporting disgraced former President Trump’s recent claim that he “sent in the FBI and the US Attorneys” to stop “ballot theft” and salvage a win for now-Governor Ron DeSantis.

NBC filed the FOIA request a day after the twice-impeached pornstar fucker wrote “After the Race, when votes were being stolen by the corrupt Election process in Broward County, and Ron was going down ten thousand votes a day, along with now-Senator Rick Scott, I sent in the FBI and the U.S. Attorneys, and the ballot theft immediately ended, just prior to them running out of the votes necessary to win. I stopped his Election from being stolen,” on Truth Social on November 10th.

The FBI looked and found no evidence supporting the claim. The 2018 midterms were a shitshow in Florida between the MAGA Bomber getting postal facilities shut down and just general disarray over mail-in ballots, but it’s unlikely there were enough fuckups to swing the fairly close but still five-digit wins for now-Senator Rick “Skeletor” Scott and now-Governor Tiny D.

Here’s how you can tell someone’s never done any charity work without them telling you they’ve never done any charity work:  Minnesota state senator Steve Drazkowski said he was voting against a bill to fund school lunch and breakfast programs because he’s never met a hungry person in the state, NBC News reports.

“I have yet to meet a person in Minnesota that is hungry. I have yet to meet a person in Minnesota that says they don’t have access to enough food to eat.  Now, I should say that hunger is a relative term,” Drazkowski smirked before mocking those suffering from hunger.  “I had a cereal bar for breakfast. I guess I’m hungry now.”

Roughly 11% of the children in Minnesota live below the poverty line, a number about 40% more than the 6-6.5% of people living in poverty in Drazkowski’s own district, where he apparently never went into a neighborhood that didn’t meet his Stepford standards.

Ever the Free Speech advocate–but only when your speech supports his views–Senator Ted Cruz (R-Quintana Roo) called on the administration of Stanford Law School to punish students who protested the appearance of ultra-conservative, anti-LGBTQ rights, anti-women’s rights judge Kyle Duncan on campus, Fox News reports.

Arguably the most reviled member of the Senate (with recent challenges from Ron Johnson, Josh Hawley, and Rick Scott while perennial hopefuls Rand Paul and Tom Cotton hang on), Cruz was perturbed that students voiced disapproval of the judge’s persistent reversal of human rights while he was invited to address the campus chapter of the Federalist Society.  Ever the conservative, Duncan didn’t even pretend to be a civil servant, instead provoking the audience by walking into the lecture hall recording the protestors on his cell phone, saying he wanted to “make a record.”  After a faculty member and a student leader calmed the crowd, Duncan skipped his speech set about attacking the students, saying to one, “you are an appalling idiot.”

“It was deeply disturbing to watch the viral video that captured Stanford Law students harassing and insulting Judge Kyle Duncan, a sitting federal circuit judge, who had been invited by the school’s Federalist Society chapter to speak at a school-sanctioned event,” Cruz wrote school administrators, adding “Stanford Law School is well within its rights to discipline these students for their behavior, and indeed, I strongly urge the school to do so.”

The shitty “Justice for All” song by the “J6 Prison Choir,” which is just a bunch of Capitol rioters singing the Star-Spangled Banner mixed with a recording of fat former President Trump reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, may have rocketed to the top of the charts on iTunes given its sales numbers, but music industry experts say the streaming numbers would seem to indicate far fewer fanboys are actually listening to it, according to a report by Forbes data guy Zach Everson.

Sales of the $1.29 track reached 22,500 on iTunes as of Monday, which is solid. However the audio and video streaming numbers between March 3rd and 13th pale in comparison at only 600,000 plays, not enough to get in the top lists of Apple Music and Spotify. “You often see a song that really takes off get millions and millions of streams in the first few days. That’s less impressive than the downloads,” said a music industry executive. Since the download sales are supposedly going to help out the families of the jailed scumbags, it would seem that buying the lame track would be more of a charitable contribution than anything else. A really shitty, measly charitable contribution, but a contribution nonetheless. A spokeswoman for Trump minion Kash Patel says sales of his special $99 vinyl edition of “Justice for All” are “significant” but did not provide actual numbers.

Of course if Trump really wanted to help out the Capitol rioters he would have pardoned them in the 14 days he was still able to do so after the insurrection he incited. He didn’t pardon them.
