Three deputies shot during prisoner escape from hospital trip

Two deputies in Idaho were shot in an ambush on Wednesday to free the prisoner they were transporting to a local medical center for care, and a third was shot by responding Boise Police officers, during a daring escape leading to a major manhunt for the men, CBS News reports.

Boise State Public Radio identifies the prisoner as Skylar Meade, who was serving a 20-year sentence for aggravated assault for shooting at a sheriff’s officer during a high-speed chase.  Officials believe the man who shot the officers was Nicholas Umphenour, but the connection between the two is unclear.  None of the officers received life-threatening injuries, but the two shot by Umphenour are hospitalized with serious injuries.

New RNC co-chair completely committed to her job

Lara Trump, the newly appointed co-chair of the Republican National Committee, continues to work tirelessly to promote the agenda of her bank account, using her name and position to enrich herself and her family, needing the grift because she’s talentless and without skill.  The one-time culinary student and Inside Edition segment producer, now leading one of the major political Parties in the world, has committed to making an exercise video with former Democratic poser Tulsi Gabbard and an unnamed WWE performer, from the stable of accused sexual assaulted Vince McMahon.

Mitch’s sister-in-law sloshed before sinking car

Angela Chao, the sister-in-law of outgoing Senate Minority Leader and statue-in-training Mitch McConnell had a blood alcohol content three times higher than the legal limit when she drove her car into a pond in a fatal accident on a private ranch in Texas, the Associated Press reports.  The report into her death describes Chao driving her Tesla into the pond, with guests and deputies trying to get her out.  In her car, Chao phoned a friend and spent eight minutes on the phone as the car filled with water and sank.  After about two hours in the water, rescuers were able to pull her out but she was already done.  Her blood alcohol content was .233, nearly three times the 0.08 legal limit in Texas.

Proposed GOP budget plan includes increasing retirement age, pushing anti-choice agenda in coming years

A proposed budget plan created by the influential conservative Republican Study Committee would increase the retirement age for Social Security benefits and push an anti-choice agenda, a plan that would give President Joe Biden a major campaign issue in the upcoming election, NBC News reports.

The group of more than 170 House Republicans, most of whom are allies of presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, pushes a higher age to get Social Security benefits to make up for longer life spans, the proposal reads.

Outside of budget goals, the reports says Republicans should support policies “designed to advance the cause of life,” including what they call the “Life at Conception Act” which would grant personhood to fetuses, screwing up IVF and other reproductive healthcare and giving Democrats a key talking point against Republicans.

US Treasury interferes in election

Treasury Department: “Today, the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated two individuals and two entities for services they provided the Government of the Russian Federation (GoR) in connection with a foreign malign influence campaign, including attempting to impersonate legitimate media outlets. Ilya Andreevich Gambashidze (Gambashidze), the founder of the Moscow-based company Social Design Agency (SDA), together with Nikolai Aleksandrovich Tupikin (Tupikin), the CEO and current owner of Russia-based Company Group Structura LLC (Structura), were involved in a persistent foreign malign influence campaign at the direction of the Russian Presidential Administration. SDA and Structura have been identified as key actors of the campaign, responsible for providing GoR with a variety of services, including the creation of websites designed to impersonate government organizations and legitimate media outlets in Europe. Leading into Fall 2022, Tupikin and Gambashidze implemented a campaign that impersonated news websites, staged videos, and fake social media accounts.”

That’s technically election interference, right? If the Biden Administration is punishing Russians who are trying to help Republicans get elected then it’s like politicization or weaponization of law enforcement or something… Why isn’t Jim Jordan doing anything about this?

Alabama governor signs landmark election integrity bill

Alabama has entered a new golden age of election integrity as Governor Kay Ivey on Wednesday protected the right to vote by signing SB1, a measure banning ballot harvesting and making potentially a Class C felony to receive payment for assisting in the distribution, filling out, delivering, and ordering of absentee ballots applications, the Montgomery Advertiser reports.

“Here in Alabama, we are committed to ensuring our elections are free and fair. I commend Secretary of State Wes Allen, as well as members of the Alabama Legislature for making election security a priority, and I am proud to officially sign Senate Bill 1 into law. Under my watch, there will be no funny business in Alabama elections,” said Ivey in a statement lauding her accomplishment.

Hear that libs? You’ve been put on notice. No funny business. That means you can’t interfere in Alabama elections by collecting sealed absentee ballots and delivering them to county clerks or by paying canvassers to make sure voters apply for absentee ballots and send them in any more. Don’t like it? Well how about next election you put in the money and hard work to get a Democratic governor and legislature elected by collecting sealed absentee ballots and delivering them to county clerks or by paying canvassers to make sure voters apply for absentee ballots? Oh wait, LOL!

National Zero will resume our regular coverage after this important update on a stunning victory for election integrity over the forces of funny business. We hope our MAGA readers enjoy the win.

Texas bus company halts Abbott’s NYC human trafficking contract

New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Wednesday announced a Texas charter bus company – one of 17 defendants in a $700 million lawsuit brought by Adams against Governor Greg Abbott’s human trafficking operation to the city – has agreed to pull out of its contract, WNYW reports.

“New York City continues to do our part as we lead the nation in managing this national humanitarian crisis, but reckless political games from the state of Texas will not be tolerated. I am pleased to see that Roadrunner – one of the bus companies we sued for taking part in Texas Governor Abbott’s scheme to transport tens of thousands of migrants to our city in an attempt to overwhelm our shelter system and shift costs to New York City – has agreed to halt the bussing of migrants into and around New York City while the lawsuit proceeds,” said Adams in a statement.

Florida Christian school teacher used yearbook to make AI porn

“Pasco Sheriff’s Office arrested an individual employed by Beacon Christian Academy, located on Star Trail in New Port Richey today. Steven Houser, 67, was arrested for possession of child pornography. After receiving a tip, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office began an investigation which determined that Houser, a third grade science teacher at the school, possessed two photos and three videos featuring child pornography. The child pornography did not feature any students at the school. In addition, Houser also possessed child erotica generated by an AI computer program which Houser admitted he used the yearbook photos of three students to generate. Houser resides in New Port Richey. There are no reports of additional victims at this time,” says a press release from the Pasco County Sheriff’s office. And yes, Houser is a registered Republican. We checked.

Holy shit! BILL AND HILLARY CLINTON airport executive director shot and wounded in gunfight with ATF AGENTS in Arkansas!

HOLY FUCK! NBC News reports that Bryan Malinowski, executive director of the Bill and Hillary Clinton Airport in Little Rock, Arkansas, was shot during an early Tuesday morning gun battle with ATF agents attempting to execute a search warrant at his home as part of an investigation. Malinowski was arrested and then taken to a hospital with non-life threatening wounds.

It’s not clear what if any connection Malinowski has to Bill and Hillary Clinton themselves. It’s probably just that he runs an airport named after them. BUT THEIR NAMES ARE IN THIS ARTICLE AND IT WAS A FEDERAL SEARCH WARRANT! NBC SAID THERE WAS A SHIT TON OF GUNS AND AMMO AT HIS HOME! THERE’S A CONNECTION HERE TO THE CLINTON CRIME FAMILY SOMEHOW!

Orange Pharaoh may just let NY AG seize Trump Tower: report

“As Donald Trump faces a Monday deadline to post a $454 million bond in the civil fraud case against him in New York, insiders said he may be weighing a little-discussed option: Do nothing. The ex-president reportedly has been struggling to raise the cash for the bond — either from banks or wealthy friends — with his lawyers claiming on Monday that it was a ‘practical impossibility.’ While some reports have raised speculation that Trump may ‘go nuclear’ with a Chapter 11 filing to protect his prize real estate assets across Manhattan, experts said bankruptcy would create unwelcome complications as the 2024 election season comes to a head,” the New York Post reports and we copied that verbatim to underscore the “trial balloon”-ing and “normalization” of this laundered Trump press release to a readership that is extremely pro-MAGA, even among Murdoch outlets.

If there’s any other conclusion we should draw from that we’re all ears. “Even if there is a taking, it doesn’t mean he can’t take it back later,” a source, quite possibly the fat bastard himself, told the Post without contemplating that the AG’s office would sell the Tower and Trump would have to “take it back” from whoever ends up buying it from the state of New York. Meaning he’ll have to pay for it.

WATCH LIVE: Biden impeachment inquiry series finale

Six months and eight days after weak and feckless then-Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy unilaterally announced he was opening an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden in a desperate attempt to save his speakership – which didn’t work anyway and now he’s not even in Congress let alone in charge anymore, lol – the effort faces its all but certain public finale Wednesday as one of the GOP’s witnesses is literally testifying remotely from fucking federal prison.

So much to say but so little words to properly articulate the scale of this failure and the unspeakable incompetence of its chief architect, James Comer and the ease with which Democrats like Jamie Raskin have just abused and tormented him and his allies at every turn.

Right wing Ohioans to freak the fuck out in t-minus 13 minutes

Far right Ohioans are probably going to lose their shit in about 13 minutes as the state will be testing every one of its tornado sirens simultaneously at 9:50 AM EDT, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Of course regular Ohioans not aware of the test will also get unnecessarily frightened, plus there’s a chance that by some freak occurrence – or maybe not that freak as three people were killed when several towns were hit with an EF3 just last week – an actual tornado could suddenly form and endanger those who think the sirens are simply being tested. But the best reactions will be from the “Jade Helm” crowd who will quickly run to grab their guns, suit up in their “1488” patch-covered body armor they bought from a company that advertises on the Post Millennial, and speed toward the source of the sound to confront the shadowy forces of FEMA, George Soros, and the Illuminati.

NRSC files amicus brief supporting Orange Tyrant’s immunity claim

The NRSC and its chair Senator Steve Daines on Tuesday filed an amicus brief in US v Trump which warned that last month’s appellate ruling denying the fat fuck’s immunity claim’s “will not be as limited as the DC Circuit thinks. The panel assures readers that its holding will not set the country on a slippery slope towards the complete criminalization of political differences because Trump is the first former President to be prosecuted but fails to consider the obvious response: No prosecutor has ever tried this type of case before because no court has previously said that they could, and prosecutors typically exercise restraint in uncharted waters. The DC Circuit opinion is akin to a loaded gun lying on the table that future prosecutors can now wield against Presidents (and former Presidents) of all political persuasions. The DC Circuit seems to believe that partisan actors will be able to resist the temptation to use that weapon against their political enemies; anyone who pays the slightest attention to American politics knows better.”

Mice for Cat Gays for Trump upset with RNC leadership

“Why are we always shooting ourselves in the foot? We love to lose. This is ridiculous! Every high-profile Republican WANTED Scott working for us! This makes NO SENSE!” said the second part of the text in the tweet that’s partially cut off in the embed. It’s still not clear what happened behind the scenes and who might’ve vetoed Lara Trump’s plan to hire the Craigslist guy.

Jamie Raskin’s guide to Comer’s witness lineup

House Oversight Ranking Member Jamie Raskin on Wednesday sent Punchbowl News a memo outlining the only two witnesses that Republican Chairbilly James Comer was able to land for his big hearing pretending that the Biden impeachment inquiry is still going on later this morning:

“Tony Bobulinski, who sued his cancer stricken father, first made his allegations against the Bidens at a 2020 press conference orchestrated by the Trump campaign hours before Bobulinski appeared at the presidential debate as Donald Trump’s guest, even wearing a dress shirt purchased for him by the Trump campaign as he first aired his claims.”

“Jason Galanis, who was labeled a ‘con man’ by the federal judge who sentenced him to fifteen years in prison for defrauding a Native American tribe and pension funds (among other fraud schemes), first publicly made his claims about the Bidens in a petition for commutation of his prison sentence to Trump’s Department of Justice and now has Chairman Comer and Rep Biggs writing to the Justice Department and Bureau of Prisons to secure his release from prison.”

“Both Bobulinski and Galanis sought to do business with Hunter Biden because they wanted to use the Biden name to advance their own business interests. Neither Bobulinski nor Galanis’s business ventures with Hunter Biden ever even made it off the ground.”

Raskin left out Bobulinski’s ties to sanctioned Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg, of which the Daily Beast on Wednesday obtained some new text messages further revealing its depth. But we feel pretty confident that it’ll come up during one Dem or another’s questioning of the asshole.
