Former Coffee County, Georgia Clerk Misty Hampton told the Washington Post that sometime in November or December 2020 she let some MAGA asshole upset over Trump losing the state into a server room to “investigate” the Dominion equipment there. Around the same time Hampton herself made a video saying the Dominion machines were vulnerable and had enlisted the conspiracy theorist, businessman Scott Hall, to show that “that this election was not done true and correct.”
Hampton also told the Post she was unaware of the Georgia Secretary of State office’s guidance on equipment security procedures but didn’t care anyway. “I don’t see why anything that is dealing with elections is not open to the public,” Hampton said. “Why would you want to hide anything?” Trump also won her county by 40%, so it’s not clear what she and Hall had hoped to find.
