Shooter dead in attack on Nashville Christian school

A suspect is dead and an unknown number of victims wounded or killed after a Monday shooting at The Covenant Presbyterian School in Nashville, Tennessee, the Associated Press reports. Covenant is an elementary for children pre-K through 6th grade with about 200 students.

UPDATE 3/27/2023 1:19 PM EDT: Police at a briefing said six victims and the shooter are dead, including at least three children, and the shooter has been preliminarily described as a teenage girl carrying two “assault-type” rifles and pistol.
