Former La Habra, California police chief and Capitol rioter Alan Hostetter’s bench trial in front of DC Circuit Judge Royce Lamberth ended in disaster Thursday as the jurist, long fed up with Hostetter’s defense team’s insane bullshit 2020 election conspiracy rants, found the January 6th insurrectionist guilty on all four felony counts, including obstruction, CBS News’s Scott MacFarlane reports.
Among the lowlights of the shitty case Hostetter’s defense tried to put up were arguing in a motion that “President Trump won the 2020 election in one of the biggest landslide victories in US history. Our constitutional republic was overthrown. An imposter president was installed. This was an actual act of treason rather than a false flag fedsurrection, as was J6. (FACT),” attempting to call to the witness stand Nancy Pelosi, the QAnon Shaman, and the manager of the DC hotel where Hostetter stayed before the riot (to testify about alleged FBI pre-surveillance in his room), and arguing in court that January 6th was peaceful and the “the real insurrection was on November 3, 2020.”
Hostetter defended himself at trial, in case you hadn’t already figured out where this was going.
