Huh, so it looks like the hypothesis of “CBS News is too woke, let’s make it more MAGA-friendly to get more people to watch” kind of didn’t pan out but they might as well just double down on it in a leaner, meaner operation and can dozens of people who grew up dreaming working in journalism instead of putting someone else in charge who can regain the audience’s trust. One might even credibly allege that the whole point all along was to just run CBS News into the ground.
