Air Force Two, the plane carrying Vice President Kamala Harris, was forced to return back to Joint Base Andrews after the crew reported a “technical issue” thirty minutes into a flight to Guatemala, USA Today reports.
Journalists on the flight reported hearing unusual sounds coming from the planes landing gear, but there was no issue with landing the plane. “It is a technical issue. There are no major safety concerns,” Harris chief spokeswoman Symone Sanders told reporters before landing.
“I’m good. I’m good,” Harris told reporters after she deplaned. “We all said a little prayer, but we’re good.”
Harris, her staff and the accompanying journalists switched to a different plane and resumed the travel schedule.
